His day, not to put too fine a point on it, has gone to shit. He'd slipped out of the apartment nearly to go and ride and had been thrown. Thankfully, he'd been on sand, so the bruising is minimal, but the stiffness in his shoulder has lingered all day. He'd gone to do some session work -- cello, not viola de Gamba, which means the instrument, whole familiar, feels less like a part of him. By the time he lets himself into his apartment, he's in a foul mood but, when he opens the door, he instantly knows that someone else is home.

Eventually, George finishes his second helping and puts the plate down on the coffee table, shifting so that he can sprawl out on the sofa, his head in Lee's lap so that he can look up at him. "Do you have plans for the rest of the evening?" he asks, reaching up brush Lee's hair back from his face.

Lee smiles as George stretches out, lifting his arm to make room for him to settle. He puts one hand in George's hair, carding it back from his face, and puts his other hand in the center of George's chest, thumbing idly at his sternum.

"You're lookin' at 'em, babe," he says with a soft chuckle, sliding his hand down to let it drift under George's shirt to rest on his stomach, thumb drifting back and forth under his navel. "Did you think I was going to come make you a nice meal and then leave? Nah, you're struck with me tonight."

George's eyes drift close almost immediately, he's so content. He makes a soft sound as Lee's hand slips under his shirt, enjoying the stroke of Lee's thumb against skin and fine hair.

"I assumed you'd be staying," he says. Lee has clothes in the bedroom, now. It feels like a more permanent thing."

George's eyes fall shut and he looks so peaceful that it makes Lee feel almost deliriously happy. Even if George were to fall asleep like this and they didn't fool around at all, Lee would still think this was a wildly successful night.

"Of course I'm staying," Lee assures him, sweeping his hand over George's forehead, fingertips tracing his brow bone and the bridge of his nose, his jaw and chin and the plush curve of his mouth. Eventually he starts unbuttoning George's shirt, what few buttons of it are fastened, so can sweep his other hand over more of his skin. There's nothing inherently sexual about it. It's more reverent than anything, bordering on worshipful. "Nowhere else I'd rather be."

"Good," says George, eyes still closed, smiling as Lee's fingers trace over him, as he unbuttons his shirt. He'd contentedly let Lee touch him anywhere he wants to, and they both know it. "I'd be very upset if you decided to go anywhere right now."

"I wouldn't want you to pout," Lee teases gently, tracing George's lips. "Even though you're very cute when you pout."

He smiles to himself, letting his thumb brush featherlight over George's eyelids and soft eyelashes, then his eyebrows before drifting into his hair again. "You could get me to do just about anything with that pout."

"Oh, I know," says George, his mouth softening into a pout for a moment before he starts laughing because he can't hold it. "You're very transparent about it."

"Look at that. A weaponized pout," Lee says with a chuckle, grinning as George laughs. God, it's so beautiful when he laughs for real. Lee can barely stand it. He cups George's chin, squeezing until his lips get even plumper and giving him a playful shake. "You've got me wrapped around your little finger, huh?"

"I couldn't possibly comment on that," says George, still laughing, swatting at Lee fondly. "But I do seem to get my own way rather a lot of the time."

"I'm okay with it," Lee says with a chuckle that gets louder when George smacks at him. He lets go of George's mouth to slide his hand under the back of his head instead, staring down at him for a long moment before curling down and lifting George's head until their mouths can meet in a soft kiss. He smells like warm spices and the subtle earthiness of his soap, and Lee breathes in deep as he presses his mouth to George's forehead, hopelessly fond. "I like giving you what you want."

“I’m sure that I could be persuaded,” Lee murmurs in an amused voice, kissing George again and then sitting up. He keeps one hand on top of George’s head, thumbing at his hairline, while his other hand sweeps up and down his belly and chest. “What is it that you want, baby?”

George pretends to think about that, still luxuriating in the casual, easy way that Lee is touching him.

"Your mouth, for a start," he says. "And then remember that time I fucked you bent over to the kitchen table and you blushed and squirmed through the whole thing?"

“My mouth is yours,” Lee offers up easily, and then chuckles softly at the rest of it. He smiles, pulling playfully at George’s hair.

“I’m familiar with the night you’re referring to.” There’s no way he could ever forget it. Plus, he had bruises on his hipbones for a week. He grins, wide and teasing. “I don’t recall it quite the way you’re describing it, though.”

He’s lying. He did blush and he did squirm. And he’d do it all again.

"Oh, really?" says George, squirming slightly when Lee pulls his hair. "Because I think I remember you banging your head on the table and babbling. He definitely looked like you, at any rate."

“What is your point, darling?” Lee asks in George’s accent, smirking down at him and tickling fingers across his belly. “You want another one of those nights?”

He chuckles and slides his hand gently over the curve of George’s shoulder, only half teasing. “You sure your busted body can take it? I could do the work tonight.”

"It's a sore shoulder, not a festering wound," says George, rolling his eyes fondly at Lee's impression of him. "And, yes, maybe. Really scour away the last vestiges of my shitty day."

“Ah, I see,” Lee says with a sly smirk, chuckling a little as realization dawns. “You wanna get out some aggression, huh? We could do that.”

He’s more than willing for things to get a little (or a lot) rough, but as he thinks about it, there’s something else he knows that he wants tonight. His expression goes a little shy and he bites his lip, slowly circling a finger around George’s navel.

“And then maybe after,” he begins quietly, never knowing quite how to ask for it. The words from the first time always seem to sum it up best. By now, George will know what it means. “Maybe you could be nice to me. Before we go to sleep.”

George's face softens at that, and he reaches up to cup Lee's cheek, thumb tracing the corner of his mouth. He knows exactly what Lee means when he asks him like that.

"I can do that for you," he says. "I promise."

Lee's expression shifts into a bright and genuine grin, cheeks pleasantly flushed. He nods and puts his hand over George's near his face, holding it as he turns his head to press kisses to his palm and the inside of his wrist, feeling the steady thrum of his pulse through the delicate skin there.

"I'll hold you to it," Lee assures him, huffing out a laugh simply because he's happy. His eyes stay on George's face even as he slides his other hand down to George's waistband, slowly tugging his belt free of the buckle and moving to unbutton his pants one-handed, lowering his voice into more a seductive murmur. "So, mouth first. And then do you want me over the table again?"

Lee slaps him and, cheeky stinging, it takes a moment for him to process what just happened. Lee's intention is clear enough, though, and George takes off after him, catching him in the bedroom doorway and wrapping one arm around his waist, the other going into his hair to pull his head back.

"You're going to regret that," he says, grinning against Lee's skin.
