He discovers it by accident, tucked down a side street, hidden behind dark windows. When he steps inside, he's taken aback by the sheer variety and, almost immediately, his head is full of possibilities. He texts Lee, suggesting that they meet for drinks later in the evening, giving him a place to meet and a time.

Later finds George leaning against a wall, waiting for Lee, scrolling through his phone. He's dressed in a button down shirts, sleeves rolled up, and he uses the camera on his phone to preen a little, undoing another button before he snaps a photo and sends it to Lee.

George nods. He could keep going, he knows, but he's also thirsty and sore and feels like he could eat them out of house and home.

"Unlock," he says. "At least for now?" He's not sure if Lee has plans for the rest of the evening.

Lee nods, reaching for the key hanging from his neck. There’s a question on George’s face, and Lee gives him a soft kiss on the mouth.

“I’m not goin’ anywhere,” Lee assures him, leaning in close so he can stick the key in the lock, twisting it open with a click. He opens the clasp and takes the collar off, setting it aside and then leaning in to press soft, wet kisses to the red marks left behind.

He feels different the moment the collar comes off, his fingers pushing into Lee's hair too cradle the back of his head at he kisses his skin.

"I might take this opportunity to shower, if you want to make yourself comfortable and order food?"

“Am I not invited to the shower?” Lee asks without thinking about it, only belatedly realizing how needy it sounds. His wrinkles his nose a little and then lifts his head, looking at George and nodding as he thumbs at George’s temple.

“It’s okay if you want a little space,” Lee assures him, and he means it. That was a lot, and Lee wouldn’t blame him if he wanted some time to recalibrate. “I can get us some food. What are you in the mood for?”

"Usually, yes, and you know it," says George, looking down at him. There's conflict on his face for a moment. "But I could do with...five minutes to find my edges again?"

He presses a warm kiss to Lee's mouth, deep with real affection. "I don't mind about the food. Something I can drink wine with?"

“I get it,” Lee assures him, eyes falling shut at that soft kiss. He could probably use a few minutes himself to try and get his mind right. To remind himself of how things really are. Him acting like Velcro is reason enough for that.

He swallows and grips George by the hips, easing up off of his softening cock, and scoots out from under him so he can tuck himself back into his pants.

“Sure, I’ll pick something,” Lee says as he gets up, looking at George for a moment before lightly touching his shoulder and then turning to head toward the kitchen. “Have a good shower.”

He isn't gone long, just long enough to sluice the come and sweat from his skin and to start to feel like a person again. When he emerges from his bedroom, he's bare chested, wearing loose trousers, his damp hair pushed back from his forehead. While George is in the shower, Lee feels… adrift. He’s off-kilter and there’s this weird ache in his chest that he does his best to shake off.

He walks the length of the apartment and picks up the discarded toys, rinsing the plug off in the sink and then putting everything back in the bag. And then he stuffs the bag in the hall closet and orders a pizza. Can you drink wine with pizza? Lee has no idea.

He wipes himself down with a wet paper towel and tries not to mind it much. It’s not his first whore’s bath and it won’t be his last. He still has his shoes on. It feels weird to take them off now.

He’s washing his hands at the sink when George comes out of the bathroom. Lee can smell him, but the scent of his lust (their lust) has been dulled in a way that makes his nose wrinkle in vague irritation.

"Pizza's fine. What's wrong?"

The more George holds onto him, the more relaxed he feels. And the more foolish. He shakes his head a little at the question and turns around in George’s arms, looping his own loosely around George’s shoulders.

He could brush the question off, but he finds himself wanting to try and explain it.

“I dunno. I felt weird for a few minutes, like I had vertigo, but I think I’m gonna be okay.” He lifts his head to meet George’s eyes, shrugging almost sheepishly. “A lot to process, I s’pose.”

Lee's arms go around his neck and George tightens his around Lee's waist, keeping them close. His eyebrows draw together.

"I'm sorry," he says, without hesitation. "I shouldn't have left you on your own. That was intense for both of us, not just me." He kisses the corner of Lee's mouth. "I didn't think."

When George apologizes, Lee furrows his brow a little and then smiles, soft and a little surprised, when George kisses him so sweetly.

“You rarely do,” he teases, but he gives a jerky nod and swallows hard. “It’s okay. You can do what you need to do. I’ll be fine.”

It helps that George is so warm with him now, and eases the worry he felt when he had pulled away and wanted to be alone so suddenly. He had worried that would be the end of it. But it’s not, so he can relax a little. “Even though you made me wash my dick in the sink like a peasant.”

"Poor you," says George, suspecting that they've both done similar more times than are worth counting. "I should have thought. I will next time."

He assumes there'll be a next time. "How can I make it up to you?"

Lee can’t help but to perk up a little at the confirmation that George wants to do it again. It’s not shocking, really. But it’s still nice to be reassured. Lee fucking hates how much he likes to be reassured.

“You don’t have anything to make up for,” Lee tells him with shake of his head. He looks at George and then down at the hollow of his throat, opening his mouth and then closing it again. It’s so hard for him to ask for anything. He’s so conditioned against it. “Maybe next time just— wait a little bit longer to take your leave. Until my heart stops racing.”

George sees the hesitation in Lee, has seen it before when it comes to asking for anything. Still, eventually, Lee makes his request, and George nods.

"I can. I will." He takes another kiss and gently disentangles himself. "Joining me in wine or having another beer?"

He might flush, faintly, at the memory of the last beer Lee had drunk.

“Thanks,” he replies, a little stunned by how easy it all is. They talk, and then listen. What a concept.

George blushing at all is such a rare occurrence that Lee finds himself a little confused to see it now, but then he puts the pieces together and his brows lift as he smiles, wide and a little smug.

“You don’t think you’ve had enough beer tonight?” Lee teases, reaching up to take George’s chin between his thumb and forefinger, drawing him in for another soft kiss. Neither of them can seem to stop. “Wine is fine. I need a smoke, though. Before the food gets here.”

He pulls away and pats his pockets, laughing when he realizes that he had his smashed packet of cigarettes and a lighter in there the whole time. He laughs, feeling a little giddy, and heads toward the window so he can climb out onto the fire escape.

"I suspect I might have," says George, rolling his eyes fondly. It had been effective as a punishment, anyway.

Lee climbs out of the window and George potters around in the small kitchen, pouring them both wine and carrying it through to the lounge, nudging the coffee table back into place with his knee before he puts the glasses down.

When he's done, he goes over to the window, leaning one hip against the frame and folding his arms across his bare chest.

Lee lounges along the steps of the fire escape like an alley cat, looking out over the city as he smokes. The nicotine calms him, and he tips his head back against the railing and closes his eyes.

When he hears George, he lifts his head and raises an eyebrow.

“Excuse you. I am having alone time,” Lee says, but it’s obvious that he’s teasing. He jerks his chin to motion for George to join him, then stubs out his cigarette to extract a joint from the pack instead. Ever the Boy Scout.

“I’m doubling up,” he says with a wry smile. “Want to share some weed?”

He thinks of that night at the pond, how they shared smoke back and forth until it was gone. How much he loved it.

Gracefully, George climbs over the sill and down into the fire escape, lowering himself down to sit on the step beside Lee. He nods, nudging his shoulder against Lee's, watching as he lights the joint. He's never developed the taste for tobacco, but he enjoys this. Particularly when he shares it with Lee.

"Stay," he says. "Tonight." He hopes that was obvious, but feels like it needs to be said, anyway.

They smush together on the step and Lee turns his head to press a kiss to George’s shoulder, feeling a warm rush of emotion in his chest when George asks him to stay so emphatically.

“Told you I’m not goin’ anywhere,” Lee assures him, nuzzling at his shoulder before lifting his head to bring the joint to his mouth and light it. Once he gets it going, he inhales deeply and turns his head, taking the point of George’s chin in his hand again in a move that feels so natural now.

“Open,” he murmurs, thumbing at the dip under George’s bottom lip and then moving in until their mouths are brushing, exhaling into George’s mouth. It makes him shiver to think of George breathing his air, taking something from Lee’s body and making it his own.

Obediently, George opens his mouth, his eyelashes fluttering as Lee breathes the smoke into his mouth. He holds it the way Lee's shown him, exhales when it starts to burn.

"We should maybe talk about it," he says. "What we did?"

Lee feels anxiety tighten his chest at the suggestion, even though he knows that George is right. Still, he nods jerkily and takes another long drag from the joint.

“I’ve never done anything like that before,” Lee admits in a tight voice, probably unnecessarily. He exhales the smoke into the air and fidgets with the joint, handing it over to George before picking at a thread in the ripped knee of his jeans. “Was it— did I do okay?”

George laughs at that, a warm sound, not a hint of mocking.

"Oh, yes," he says, slipping the joint between his lips. "It was more than okay." He nudges Lee's ribs gently. "I've never done anything like that, either. For the record."

He knows how much Lee likes firsts.

Lee huffs out a laugh, feeling a little ridiculous, because obviously George enjoyed it. Everyone in this apartment building probably knows how much George enjoyed it.

“Good,” he says with a bit of a growl in his voice, leaning in to drink the smoke from George’s lungs. He takes the joint as he pulls back, looking George up and down. The bite mark on his chest is red and raw, but there’s no broken skin. His ass is probably sore, in more ways than one, but Lee has plans for that.

“What do you want to talk about?” Lee asks curiously, taking another drag and looking at George with an open expression.
